Suhani Jalota

I am a Hoover Fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. I hold a PhD from Stanford University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB). My areas of interest are development and labor economics, with a particular focus on gender in poor households. I use field experiments to study the interplay between women's economic power, dignity, and health and the role of technology in amplifying their agency. I am the Founder of Myna Mahila Foundation, a women's empowerment organization in India increasing women's agency by shifting social norms restricting women's employment and discussions around their sexual and reproductive health.
